Wealth Management To Address Your Entire Financial Situation
Many clients come to our office seeking help for a specific concern, like how to turn an inheritance into an ongoing income stream that will last throughout retirement. However, as a wealth management advisor, I consider each client’s complete financial situation in order to give sound advice. That’s what makes comprehensive wealth management different from investment management.
Before considering what types of assets to include in a portfolio, we look at a client’s risk profile, financial goals, and income needs, especially during or just before retirement. This part of the wealth management process is called financial planning and includes a wide analysis including evaluating insurance needs and exploring potential estate planning issues.
Only after understanding each client’s complete financial picture can we move on to other areas of the wealth management process, which may include investment management, creating and implementing an estate plan, maximizing Social Security benefits, purchasing adequate insurance, or using annuities to create a stream of income during retirement.
As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional (CFP®), I have the experience and knowledge to help clients with a wide range of financial concerns.
